LBIPU Vision
The unit within the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta does not have its own vision. The vision of the unit is the vision of the university. As stated in the Strategic Plan of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta 2021-2025, the vision of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta is “In 2029, the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta will become a center for education and development of Islamic science and technology and give direction to change.” The formulation of the vision of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta is also the vision of the Institute of Language and General Sciences.
LBIPU Mission
a. Developing science, knowledge, technology and art as part of worship to God (integrated) which has an impact on the realization of the main society,
b. Developing human resources based on Islamic values and giving direction to change in order to realize the main society.
Purpose of LBIPU
The objectives of the Institute of Languages and General Sciences are as follows:
a. Produce general course graduates who have citizenship soft skills and English language competencies equivalent to Independent User (B1) based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) standards.
b. Produce teaching materials in which there are Islamic values, student-centered learning strategies, and objective learning evaluation
c. Produce language service packages and general courses that are in accordance with the needs of the community
